5 Reasons Why It Is Essential To You

Is Article Marketing a marketing tool that you are using right now? If not, why is that so? Are you one of those who detest the effort and time spent writing and submitting articles for article directories? Article marketing is an essential marketing tool which can generate a huge amount of sales and traffic. If you are serious about making money online, you should definitely use it in your marketing campaigns.

Why should every Internet Marketer use article marketing? Here are 5 key reasons why it is essential:

1. Market directly to readers
With article marketing, you are able to market directly to your readers any product or service. You do not need to write specifically on a service or product. As long as you can advise your readers how to solve their problem, you can eventually lead them to something that you sell which does that. This allows you to create leads and sales due to attracting targeted potential customers.

2. Generate sales passively
When you have written and submitted many articles, they act as your sales agents on the Internet. Whoever picks up and reads your articles will become a possible lead. Your reach can grow as your articles are selected for publishing by other sites. This gradually builds your list and eventual sales. But the end result is that you can still get sales even if you stop writing articles for a while.

3. Creating your own brand
If you write and publish several articles in a niche, and provide quality content, you will eventually build your own brand and readership. Your readers will trust you and regard you as a guru within the niche. When that happens, you can easily generate high traffic to sales ratios.

4. Build backlinks
By submitting your articles to article directories, it can quickly build high quality one-way backlinks to your site. These backlinks will be indexed by search engines and can be a good way of sending traffic to your site.

5. Rank well in search engines for choice keywords
To rank well in search engines through article marketing, you need to write articles which are keyword optimised correctly. This can be done via a number of ways such as keyword density in your article body or other better methods. As a result, your articles will show up in search engine results well ranked for selected keywords. Again this will send a lot of targeted organic traffic to your site. And guess what? You do not need to pay a cent for this through article writing.

Models Of Strategic Planning

Strategic planning theorists through the 1980s produced a wide range of frameworks, many of them based on the work of Porter, Parsons and McFarlan, which focused on assessing the impact of IT and searching for IT opportunities. They have an elegant simplicity which makes them useful in raising awareness of strategic issues but leaves them open to criticism, like all frameworks and models, on the grounds that they offer limited and constricting viewpoints. The Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) approach, developed by IS/IT theorists, makes use of a number of these frameworks to guide the analysis for planning the application and management of IT/IS in the organisation.

Although it is felt that their combined views can offer a wider and much more useful strategic perspective, these frameworks, and the SISP approach, have not been popular with managers who argue that they give no guidance on how to translate strategy into action (Brady et al. 2002). Neumann (2001) suggests that ‘framework overload’ may be another reason for their reluctance to use them and there are arguments for a taxonomy of frameworks to help in the choice of the most appropriate and relevant views for particular conditions. Some argue for a diagnostic, computer-based meta-framework, and others for alternative approaches based on divergent thinking to supplement the traditional, convergent rational-analytical approach of the strategic planning school. Awareness of the need for a multidimensional, multidisciplinary view on transformation and the change process had been heightened through the 1980s to the 1990s. The approaches advocated in the MIT90s Research Programme publication (Scott-Morton 2002) and the integrated strategic planning methodologies developed by, for example, Ward et al. (2003) and Cash, McFarlan, and McKenney (1992) went at least some way towards this goal.

Today, the avoidance of technologically deterministic bias, that is, the focus on the impact of IT and its benefits, is a key theme in the research field. Critics of the earlier models point out that even where human issues have been highlighted as central to the transformation process, in practice the tendency has been to consider them at the implementation stage rather than in the design stage. Research papers now call for a deeper focus on the human and political issues, underlining even more strongly their influence on the success of IT implementations. A recent paper criticising the IT/IS theorists’ tendency towards a unidirectional approach, by Li, Squire, and Zou, (2001) compares the MIT90s approach with that of the business economist Honohan, (2004). He argues for a composite view where human imagination and creativity are highlighted as the true-enablers of transformation. Notwithstanding these criticisms, the research team of the MIT90s project, and other theorists of this time such as Ward et al., Cash et al., have all made important contributions. Their analyses are set within the kind of framework that offers a more holistic view of the organisation as a complex and dynamic set of interrelationships. They give a clear emphasis to the importance of ‘empowerment’ and investment in human resources to the transformation process in their writing, but at the time, this aspect was not uppermost in the minds of those seeking their advice or implementing their ideas. In their haste to get the job done, they fail to develop the synergy which can drive through the change they hope to achieve.

You Are The Most Important Factor In Any Mlm Business

Of course there are many important factors in any business; the product, the marketing system, the support team, the payment plan etc. However, the most important factor by far is you. You alone have the power to commit or give in, you have the power to succeed or fail.

Myth 1: Duplication is as easy as 1,2,3!
One of the most important concepts to grasp is that even though a system may be "duplicated," that doesn't meant that the results will be duplicated. Why? The human factor. It takes a lot of hard work, time and dedication to build any business and some people are just going to work harder than others. So even though having a proven system in place is fundamental, just be aware that there are many other factors to take into consideration as well.

Myth 2: The Completely Automated System
There is no such thing as a "completely automated system." It sounds attractive because that's what we all want, reward without sacrifice, but it just isn't true. How could something be completely automated? Even the best website in the world will never be seen unless it is properly marketed. Once again, there will always be one very important variable, you.

So how can we become dynamic leaders? Of course there are some people who have more of a predisposition to leading than others, but I truly believe that almost everyone can develop themselves into a dynamic leader. It takes discipline, it takes commitment and it takes courage. We need to train ourselves to be leaders. There are three key factors that will deeply affect our leadership abilities. Of course there are many more than three, but if we master these three qualities we will be well on our way to becoming a strong leader.

The first quality is passion. Have you ever spoken to someone who lacks passion for their business? There is absolutely no way that you will attract dynamic people into your organization if you sound bored. Nobody wants to join a boring business. A strong leader attracts like-minded people through their passion and energy. So, before you speak to anyone in your downline, be sure that you are pumped up. You may have to do 20 pushups or blast your favorite song on the stereo, but do whatever it is that gets you excited before you get on that phone!

The second quality shared by great leaders is consistency. People want to join a team where they know there is ongoing support and training when they need it. You have to be consistent with your communications to your team, let them know that you are still there and that you care about them and their growing business. This is where many people in the MLM business make a critical mistake, they may be super motivated in the beginning and communicating on a daily basis with their team, but many people lack the discipline to be consistent through the months and years. You will see the negative effects almost as you start to slack off in this business. Remember, you are the motivator to the team, so if you are unmotivated very few members of your team will productive. Be consistent and it will pay off exponentially.

The third great quality of true leaders is integrity. You have to care more about the team than yourself. For instance, if you are doing some co-op advertising, be sure that you take on the majority of the risk and the minority of the profit. Your team will respect that in you and it will encourage them to do more, to work harder and to pay it forward to their downline. MLM marketing doesn't have to be a dog eat dog world, it should be a highly ethical environment where the team leader is looking out for the group's best interests.

So there you have it, we can never eliminate the human factor in any business. The human factor is the most important element to any successful venture. If we practice integrity, consistency and passion in both our personal and professional lives, we will experience success and build stronger, healthier relationships.

11 Ways to Boost Sales in a Slow Economy

Author: David Coyne

The economy may be sluggish but that doesn't mean business owners have to resort to price slashing across their product line. When sales are slow, the best thing businesses can do is boost customer communication.

"Customers are five to ten times more responsive to your marketing than people who have never done business with you," says David Coyne, a copywriter and marketing specialist in the business-to-business sector. "In a slower economy, put an emphasis on customer retention instead of new customer acquisition, which is more expensive."

Coyne recommends the following to keep your company name front and center in customers' eyes.

1. Study your competitors' marketing and advertising. Do your competitors have weaknesses you can exploit? Can you offer more than they can? Let your customers know.

2. Become a "solution-provider" instead of a business. Send out personalized letters to customers who haven't bought anything recently and ask how they're enjoying your product. Offer to answer any questions or help if they're having a problem.

3. Cross-sell. Make sure customers know about your other products.

4. Have a Customer Appreciation Sale. Create a coupon or special order code that gives them a small gift or rebate.

5. Occasionally send out a short, non-sales letter. Maybe you came across an excellent website, free resource, or tool you wanted your customers to know about.

6. Offer a free email course or online training module so customers can learn to use your product more effectively.

7. Create a client-only membership site or bulletin board for posting questions and answers.

8. Send a follow up message after a purchase to reassure your customer she's made the right decision and overcome any buyer's remorse.

9. Ask customers for product testimonials and send them to customers who haven't bought that particular product.

10. Create a free white paper or case study for customers only.

11. Develop a customer survey and offer a prize to those who complete it.

The Difference Between Creative and Effective

Author: Dale Justice

Which is more valuable, a handful of gold, or a handful of salt? The gold sparkles with the promise of “the good life” and all it encompasses. The salt lies in your palm like so much dust. What’s the difference not readily seen?

Simply stated, the gold is very pretty, but you couldn’t survive without salt. Gold is very flashy and memorable, but devoid of life sustaining substance. So ask yourself, is your marketing communications memorably creative, or substantially effective? How can you tell the difference?

Not long ago, my spouse told me of a television commercial featuring several middle aged men obsessing over their hobby, restoring and racing Big Wheel tricycles. She found the spot very clever and funny. She admitted she had seen the spot a dozen or more times and never failed to be entertained. I asked who the advertiser was and what product they were promoting. She could not recall, even after a dozen or more exposures and a favorable impression of the material. Some days later I viewed the commercial and noted the product advertised was breakfast meats.

I do not understand the connection between sausage and adult males racing Big Wheel tricycles, nor was any connection attempted in the advertisement. Although the spot was certainly memorable for its creativity, the core objective of initiating change in the consumers buying behavior failed completely. Consumers were entertained, the marketer wins an award for creativity and perhaps goes on to direct music videos, and the advertiser receives no return for their marketing investment.

Effective marketing is both incredibly simple in concept yet complex in execution. Marketing is designed to initiate change in consumer behavior and disposition towards a product or service. This is accomplished by clearly communicating the benefits of the product with a precise call to action, and delivering the message to a qualified audience favorably disposed to purchase that exact product or service. The difficulty lies in differentiating your message from the estimated 3000 advertising messages each consumer is exposed to each day. It is this quest for memorability that mistakenly lures advertisers and professional marketers away from disciplined and effective communications, and into the entertainment business. And, its not just huge national advertisers succumbing to marketing messages obscured by disassociated plot lines and images. Local, home-grown companies are equally guilty.

I’ve observed dancing Santas to sell discount furniture and hillbillies tossing dynamite into lakes to catch fish used to sell furnaces. In each instance, the real message conveyed to consumers is one of desperation, “I’ll say or do anything to get your attention”. But is the goal of effective marketing communication to acquire the consumers’ attention to entertaining displays in print and broadcast, or to acquire their loyalty to a trusted brand that delivers value to their lives?

Communicating credibility creatively will not only achieve memorability, but will begin the branding process. One can be clever and even entertaining. But one should never lose sight of the core objective.
